For clients, knowing that a coach is in supervision can be a great way of demonstrating quality assurance, professionalism and integrity in one's coaching practice. It is now a pre-requisite for being able to provide coaching within certain organisations.

Some examples of supervision questions might be:

  1. When I have a lot on my mind, how can I be sure that I am fully present for my clients?
  2. My client has told me they are being mobbed at work, what are my responsibilities as a coach and how can I best be of service to them?
  3. I find myself getting impatient when coaching my client, how can I control this?
  4. I notice that I want to impress my clients by making sure they get an outcome, what is triggering this response in me?
  5. I often lose track of time in sessions so the endings are sometimes a bit abrupt with no clear action to move forward, how can I manage this more effectively for better endings to the session?
  6. I really don't like one of my coachees and am finding it really hard to coach them. How can I resolve this?
  7. I notice that I have strong feelings arising when coaching younger clients who lack assertiveness. What is triggering this in me and what implications does this have for my coaching?
