Leveraging your strengths

As humans, we tend to focus on our weaknesses far more than on our strengths. We spend a lot of time trying to fix our faults even though it is our strengths that are instrumental in our success at work.

Strengths are characteristics that energise us and help us to perform better. When understanding and applying our strengths, we can benefit from improved results, get a greater sense of achievement, higher levels of motivation and fulfilment, enjoy increased confidence and develop resilience to overcome any existing barriers to our performance. If we are underutilising our strengths this is a lost opportunity which will impact our effectiveness.

In our session on leveraging your strengths, I will invite you to explore your strengths in more depth and together we will explore the concept of you@your best. The foundations of working with our strengths lies in positive psychology, which suggests that we should look for opportunities to spend more time in our zone of peak performance in order to be our most effective selves. We'll start thinking about how best to use our strengths at work to help ourselves and how we lead, collaborate and manage our teams. In a rapidly changing world it is really important to develop our natural strengths and understand how we can use those to help us successfully adapt.

Our session will help you to:

  • identify your strengths and accomplishments
  • identify and define the concept of you@your best
  • spend more time in your zone of peak performance in order to be your most effective self
  • lead, collaborate and manage your team more effectively
  • adapt easier in a fast changing environment
