Discovering Your Blind Spots to Become a Better Leader
Many leaders seek coaching with the intention of becoming a more effective leader, often aware they may have some blindspots (which we all do!) However, even when leaders acknowledge they need to do things differently, it can be challenging to implement behavioural shifts.
In a safe and confidential space, we will explore the blindspots that may be driving the difficulties you are experiencing and work together to help you develop more effective behaviours. This process takes time but together we devise small, carefully designed experiments to test our hypotheses and practice the new desired behaviours you have identified.
Our work may involve exploring different leadership styles and understanding the defence mechanisms typical of each. We will examine how your leadership style impacts others, particularly when you are under pressure and identify the things you need to get better at, or change in your approach, in order to become more effective.
Our sessions will help you to:
- identify personal blindspots
- recognise your leadership style and understand your defence mechanisms
- develop coping strategies for when you're triggered
- enhance your impact on others and how others perceive you under pressure
- experiment with other leadership styles to get used to using a mix of styles
- practice more effective desired behaviours
